Fast Food Favorites

We all have are favorite fast food establishments. Ask any one under 10 and it is most likely McDonalds. I am a Wendy's fan. With that said I must say, because the closest Hardee's to my house is 40 miles, I do try to stop there when the opportunity is presented. This past weekend was no exception. The Diablo Burger was great.  I surprise was the jalapeƱo poppers on the burger. Genius I say.  Enjoy your week!!

Signs say it all

It was a particularly long ride home from work.  Sunshine and I car pool and have been all year.  We drive, more accurately I drive, from the Casa to a metro station close to her office.  Then I ride a shuttle bus for another 20 minutes or so to the office.  She then whips the car around for the last half mile or so to her office. Nice. The commute home is in reverse. Well this past week we both had to stop and use the restroom.  I found this sign in the bathroom.  Funny thing, there are no paper towels in the bathroom.  Now, for full disclosure the water did shut off automatically before I was done washing my hands.  Still, there are no paper towels in the bathroom.  Like I said, signs say it all.

National Arboretum

If you are are ever in the Washington DC, one of the little known treasures is the Nation Aborertum.  The site contains 9 miles of roads/trails one can explore.  One of the sites is the Capital Columns. These columns were removed from the capital building while it was expanded.  The Arboretum contains an herb garden and several other family fun and friendly activities.  There is also a picnic area. They have state trees planted and mark through out the park.

2014 Year in Review

What a year this has been.  My Sunshine and I have had some great and not so great moments.  I must say, for Tronster, we are glad to start a new year.  A few things that have happened over the last year? Well, we started the year with a trip to Tennessee.  Unscheduled drive on New Years eve from Casa de Tronster to Knoxville.  We crossed the border into to Tennessee at Midnight.  It was not for a good reason, and we will leave it at that.  January 1st, I left sunshine in Tennessee and drove back to Casa de Tronster.  Whoa.  Not that the year is over, I can say the situation with family in Tennessee is better.  Our grandson is doing great.   We had decided to sell our house.  During one of the home inspections we find out we need a new septic system.  (Or at least get the decrepit, dilapidated one installed repaired)  A lot of money later and 4 months down the road it gets fixed.  At the end of the year, we finally have a good prospect for buying. Looking back, those we s
